a walk in winter wonderland
Here are some impressions from the walk I took in the frozen and very quiet landscape yesterday.
Every time I’m in nature I’m fascinated by it and so inspired.
Mother nature is the best designer. There is so much beauty and magic and wonder.
Just as Ansel Adams said:
“I believe the world is incomprehensibly beautiful — an endless prospect of magic and wonder.”
With each New Year we get a fresh, clean page to start over.
Here’s hoping that life writes a beautiful new chapter for you this year.
Happy New Year!

TIM KNOWLES – tree drawings
In one of my last posts I mentioned ANNA BADUR and her »Whatever the Weather« scarf collection and her process. She is using the wind to blow the pigments over the wet surfaces to create a truly unique pattern. I love when nature’s power is used in a creative process. There is something so pure and poetic about it. Tim Knowles attached drawing implements to the tips of tree branches and the wind “draws” on paper. “Like signatures each drawing reveals the different qualities and characteristics of each tree.”

Scarves – Shovava
I just fell in love with these beautiful scarves by Shovava. The owner Roza Kamitova grew up in the mountains of Kazakstan, worked for eight years in the fashion industry in New York and is now living in Australia. Inspited by the natural world around her she is creating these magical scarves.

WALL CALENDAR 2015 – Selma Lamai
Just found this beautiful calendar – too bad it’s sold out. Love all the textures and colors. The calendar is a collaboration between the publishing company Special Day and graphic designer Selma Lamai.
Selma Lamai has been working in art direction, textile print, bag design and bookbinding and founded her webshop in 2013. Also in the shop: scarfs, candles, note books, prints, pillows and printed tape – cool!
